1939 Buick Model 41, 4 Door Touring. Suicide rear doors, sonomatic radio, streamboard option (rare), overhead valve straight 8, 3 speed column shift manual transmission, 6 volt electrical, rear turn signals,Master Delux heater, sliding opera windows, back seat foot rest, front and back seat ash trays. Complete body off frame restoration. New owner will recieve picture album of restoration process and all historical documents we have.

Condition is listed as "Used" because it is a used car. But, rest assuredit is fully restored to like new condition.

During the restoration the following was done:

Engine block bored 30 thousandthsover, boiled out and painted. Crank shaft turned 10 thousandths under. Cam shaft, lifters. and push rods were polished. Head and valves were inspected at the machine shop and determined no work was required. During engine reassembly, new pistons, rings, bearings, seals/gaskets were used. A new clutch was installed,along withnew hoses, plugs, lacquered plugs wires,points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap, and fan/gen/water pump belt. The following were all rebuilt; distributor, water pump,fuel brake cylinder, and 4 wheel brake cylinders.The radiator was rodded out. The Sonomatic radio was completely restored for appearance and function.

Body removed from frame. All parts taken to bare metal and repaintedusing rust inhibitive black paint on chassis and bottom of body. Exterior of body repainted with two coats of Limco brand single stage acrylic enamel. During body reassembly the following new parts were used;5 WWW B.F. Goodrich Silvertown tires,hub caps (4),door sill plates(4),all brake shoes,body mount rubber, sway bar and lower control arm bushings,motor mounts (front and rear),front A-arm bumpers,rubber and steel brake lines,fuel lines,wiring harness (cloth covered original style),battery,windshield and back glass rubber,door and trunk lid weather stripping, bumpers for doors, hood, and gasfiller door,accelerator pedal,clutch and brake pedal pads, and inside dome light.

Transmission and differential drained cleaned, inspected and re-lubed.

Dash and window garnish moldings redone using the correct woodgrain patterns.

Upholstery redone using mohair for seats and door panels, nap cotton headliner. The floor and trunkredone using brown low pile carpet.

All chromeand stainless trim removed. Chrome was replated and the stainless polished.

Since the restoration was completed, this car has NOT been driven in the rain or even ona wet street.

This carstarts and runslike new. All it needs is more road to run on or a showroom to sit in.
