1957 Chevrolet Belair Convertible. I bought the car about 4 years ago, and rebuilt it from the ground up. Literally. I bought it off the internet sight unseen, and the car showed up in 2 pieces. Thanks to Danchuks, all the body parts were available. I had the body professionally built buy D&P Classic Chevrolet in Huntington CA. The frame is a modified stock frame. Both the frame and body have been powder coated to prevent any possibly rusting. This is one car that lives up to the term "rust free" The only sheet metal that is original is the dash, everythings new. Its alot to start listing off, but from the ground up: The suspension is Heidts front tubular Arms, with 1" drop springs with 2" drop spindles along with drilled and sloted 13" brakes in the front. The rear is an all aluminum C4 Corvette Independent rear end with coil over shocks. Front wheels are 18" and the rears are 20". the motor is an all aluminum LS1 out of a 2000 Corvette, transmission is a T-56 6speed out of a late model Dodge Viper. The exhaust is custom 3" stainless tubes and muffler. The gas tank is a RockValley Stainless tank, with built in fuel pump. Power steering and Power brakes. Tilt column. Push button start. The interior is brand new just had it done recently. The dash is covered leather, seats are leather as well. The front seats are out of a 2002 Cadillac, full power (even the head rest) and they have the shoulder seat belt. I was told they have seat heaters in them but I haven't checked. They're wired for power, just not currently plugged in. The rear seat was custom made to match the front seats. the center console is custom made to house the hand brake and the 3 gauges. Stereo is CD with iPod adapter, All the Gauges are brand new Autometer Pro Comp's. The top is new, and works fine. The only trim missing is the inner windshield trim, which is available. The gauges are all wired, but they're not all currently working. I will have gauges all working before car is shipped.This is a solid car that I hate to let go.
