We areselling thisone of a kind1969 Camaro SS 396 375hp convertible specially ordered and built by Chevrolet for the United States Grand Prix race at Watkin's Glen,Oct 6th 1969. This was the only Grand Prix event in North America. The car was ordered and built late in the year, the 3rd week of September. Chevrolet and Watkins Glen only used it to pace that race. The North Eastern zone rep, Larry Cook,then purchased the car through Emerling Chevrolet for his son, Paul.It has been off the road since 1979. We have all the ownership history to the present. The car was completely restored by us over the last2 years and was just completed last week. Everythingwas rebuilt top to bottom and it is as new and correct right down to the spiral shocks and R59 battery. The car is all numbers matching. The enginehas been completely rebuilt to factory specs and dyno'd at over 420 HP. The turbo 400 trans powers the original 12 bolt posi with3:55 gears. The factory options include the black deluxe interior (with original door panels that actually fit!), power top, 6,000 rpm tach and gauges, power steering,power disc front brakes, AM radio, deluxe seat belts, rally wheels, front a rear spoilersand a rosewood wheel. The car is detailed to the max and has been restored correctly. This is truly a one of a kind vehicle that has all the credentials for a cornerstone investment.
