1969 Chevrolet Camaro, DocumentedCOPO L72 427, the famous "Tin Soldier".

The "Tin Soldier" is a 9561 COPO L72 427 Camaro originally sold out of QueensCity Chevrolet in Ohio. They were a well known performance dealership and sold some of the baddest Muscle Cars in the area. ThisCOPO has only 4 prior owners and its complete history, from the day it was transported to the dealership until today is known and well documented. It was originally a Garnet Red 4-speed car, which was turned into a Race Car and painted Black very early in its life.

This car is an American Icon of performance and horsepower and helped demonstrate the prominence of the Big Block Chevy cars for generations to come. This COPO features a Dana differential with leaf springs and a TH400 transmission. It hasa fresh, professionally built 1969 "512" Block, .030 over and what we are told are the original "840" Heads and a host of other race ready parts and internals.

The car is mini-tubbed, but most of the original frame rails, trunk pans, extensions, floor pans, cowl, quarters, doors, fenders, and hood are all original to the car. The Trim Tag and VIN's have never been removed or messed with. Both fender extensions have an upside down 427 factory marking. The interior, but for the missing back seats and carpet is mostly original. The car was also equipped with a factory tachometer.

The car shows very low originalmileage of only 3,469. Most of it was added 1/4 Mile at a time. The car was freshened up with an effort to keepas many of the original or vintage race components aspossible.
