Vehicle Description
This is a real 72 cheyenne super, it was restored a few years back and has been driven very little since. It has around 20,000 miles on it since. The engine is a 406 c.i. small block with aproximately 450 h.p. and 500 lbs. ft. of torque. I have around 4,000 in the engine alone. It was built with all the best parts and everything in the engine is new except the block and crank. It has dart iron eagle heads 210 cc runners with 2.02 & 1.6 manly stainless valves. The valve train is from comp cams, hardened push rods guide plates, roller tip rockers and the cam is a comp cams high energy with .510 lift, which gives a nice lopey idle. Edelbrock 750 carb and performer rpm dual plane aluminum intake. Hooker headers with 3'' ex. and flow tech mufflers with dumps. The pistons are hyperutectic sulfide coated trw flat tops with about 9.9 to 1 compression. The water pump, fuel pump, 100 amp 1 wire alternator, and hi torque starter, and radiator were all put on brand new as well. The trans. is a turbo 350 pro built with a b&m shift kit and b&m converter. The rear end is a 12 bolt and im not sure of the gearing. The brakes are all new on the front and rear pads shoes rotors and drums, the tires and wheels are new as well, the tires are 295/50/15 with about 80% life left. This truck was stripped down to bare metal and totally repainted inside and out in the original blue and white, with ppg acrylic enamel paint and ppg clearcoat also. All the lenses and emblems were replaced inside and out and a new cargo light. Inside it has a new dash, instrument panel, all ac outlets, carpet, door panels, steering wheel, gear shifter, kenwood detachable face cd player, cerwin vega speakers in the doors, seat from a 90 model chevy p/u, bezels around the cig. lighter and new switch and bezel with new keys and lock cylinders in the doors, new window cranks and door handles, and new rubber around the doors. Also it has a new front bumper. Im sure ive missed some things, but thats about all I can think of right now, as far as new parts go. It has ps, pdb, it is a factory ac truck but no compressor, It also has the tilt wheel. I dont like the woodgrain so when I restored it I left that stuff out, its easy to install if you like it, and it doesnt cost much from lmc. This truck starts right up and runs excellently and drives good too. The brakes are kinda hard to press because of the big cam. I didnt redo the suspension so it could use some new shocks im sure, but it rides good now. The tailgate is not on in the pics but I have it and it will be on before the close of the auction. To be really really nice this truck needs a little tinkering that I dont have time for. Such as, new rubber around the glass, doors need to be adjusted slightly, and the trim needs to be put back on. None of this is hard to do or expensive I just dont have time. The paint also needs to be touched up in a couple of areas where some sheetrock from the ceiling fell on it.
