1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible

One great show winner

Take a step back in time with this gorgeous car. An on frame restoration several years ago transformed this classic into what you’ll see in the pictures below.

We had her appraised in August of last year by the Auto Appraisal Group Inc. and was given an overall rating of “Very Good” (defined as: above average, street driven, limited use and garage kept). They then set her fair market value at over $97,000 – all this and she didn’t even start at the time of inspection due to a battery problem.

The car is powered by it’s original 348 big block with a tri-power setup, and the powerglide transmission shifts like it should. Has power steering, power brakes and a power top. She’s as solid as a rock – starts and drives beautifully on new tires showing little or no wear. This super straight body sports no rust, and all the parts line up with no rubbing or touching.

She’s been in several shows and always places high.

The convertible top is in excellent shape (rear window is not fogged) and the color coordinated boot fits snug with no trouble. New wheel cylinders, brake lines and exhaust from the manifold back. A new trunk pan has been installed, and the floors have been fixed with real metal. Seat belts were also added for safety.

The Bad News:

The odometer is stuck at 85000, however the speedometer works just fine. Also, it’s not the original color of the car, but it’s still a nice looking Rio Red.
