I bought this 1970 SS 396 / 375hp L78 Novafrom Stefano Bimbi the owner of Nickey Chevrolet. Stefano has known this car for over 20 years and he has information about this car back to the second owner in the early 80s. He has a collection of some of the most desirable muscle cars in the country and has a reputation as one of the best in the business. I bought this car to keep for a very long time because it is almost perfect in my eyes but now Iwould like to have another 1969 Camaro Z/28, SS-RS orCOPO Clone and Iwould like to trade up or down for one. This Nova SS 396is in exceptional condition and shows only 20,400 mile on the odometer.The frame off nut and bolt restoration was done before I bought the car and they used many of its original correct parts. The quality and attention to detail is one of the best that I have seen. This carhas been driven on rare occasion but it could be a local car show winningtrailer queen with very little detailing. It is equipped with the SS package and the highest horsepower motor available from the factory the L/78 396/375HP big block. These motors came with all the best parts available from Chevrolet at the time. This Nova is also equipped with a Muncie 4-speed transmission, power front disc brakes, 3:55 gear ratio12-bolt posi rear end, multi leaf rear springs,14"x7" 5-spoke steelwheels including thespare,original style white letter bias ply tires,special hoodand SS badges. The car was repainted it’s original color fathom blue and hasblack interior per the original trim tag on the firewall.This car was restored with an original date-code correctCKOmotor from another L78 Nova that still has the original factory stampings on the pad, date code correct661 case Muncie 4-speedtransmission and the date code correct original CBT coded 12-bolt 3:55 posi. All the floors, trunk pan, firewall, rockersand sheet metal look original with no repair work that I can find. Like any car this age it is not 100% perfect and still needs the right carb and afewsmall items. I know these cars well and thiscar is realnot a clone but as with any car there is somebody that knows more than myself so I would welcome a professional inspection at my house.I have not found the original build sheet or any paperwork yet.The buildsheetcould still bebetween the seat covers and seat frames or under the headliner, I do not have the time or desire to take a chance of ruining the interior so I have not looked.There is also past owner information back to the early 80s available from the last owner that may help.
