"Bloodshot" is an all steel 1933 Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe. This one-off creation was designed and built by Hot Rods By Greg in Lake Bluff, Illinois. We started the project with an original Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe. This street rod was customized to the point that only about 10% of the original metal is left. First a custom one-off frame with molded crossmembers was built. The chassis was lengthened 3" to give the body a more elongated and racier look. A Heidts Super Ride front suspension was installed. The front suspension includes polished stainless steel upper and lower control arms, heidts 2" dropped spindles, Wilwood 11" front disc brakes, drilled and grooved rotors, and polished calipers, a new rack and pinion steering gear, and polished Aldan coilovers. All of the new crossmembers were molded to the frame rails and finished to perfection. In the rear a Heidts fully polished IRS was mounted to the new rear crossmember. It was equipped with polished Aldan coilovers,12" Wilwood rear disc brakes and polished calipers. We installed a Street & Performance Chevy LT4 engine. It was detailed to the max with every dress up accessory you can imagine. A stock GM fuel injection unit received a Street & Performance throttle body and wiring harness. Then a set of Street & Performance stainless steel headers were installed on the highly detailed engine assembly. The custom, one-off engine cover completed the highly detailed engine compartment. The polished 2 1/2" exhaust system was run through the chassis to give more ground clearance to the extremely low ride height. The transmission is a GM 4L60E automatic. It is equipped with a B&M shifter kit and transmission cooler. Hot Rods By Greg designed the one-off shifter. After the chassis was painted and detailed with the use of all stainless steel brake and fuel lines a set of Boyd Coddington "New Wave" wheels and Dunlop SP Sport 9000 blackwall tires were installed. The chassis is as beautiful and detailed as the rest of the street rod. Every inch of the body is modified in some way. All of the custom, one-off panels were rolled or hammered with the use of an English Wheel or a Planishing Hammer. The fenders, hood side panels, running boards, rear fenders, and rear tail panel were fabricated by Hot Rods By Greg. The top was chopped 2 1/2" and the roof was filled in. A 4 1/2" pie cut was taken out of the body to achieve the stance we wanted. A custom, one-off lengthened hood top was the final piece of the body modifications. "Bloodshot" is coveredwith a flawless one-off three stage red and True Fire Flame job. The flame job is under the hood, front fenders, and on the chassis as well. There is fire everywhere! The custom, two-tone bone colored leather and teddy bear colored suede interior is trick. The dash was filled and a new billet gauge insert and Classic Instruments gauges were installed. A Flaming River polished stainless steering column holds the Colorado Custom "Yuma" billet steering wheel. Tunes are handled by a Sony, Kicker, and Eclipse sound system. The Painless wiring harness handles the electrical components including the power windows, power door locks, door poppers, power trunk opener, power fuel door opener, and the air conditioning. After over two years of construction, "Bloodshot" debuted at the Chicago ChevyVette Fest. It scored a perfect 1000 points and won the "Top Gun Award." Since that time the coupe has been shown at multiple events and has taken the top awards at most! "Bloodshot"is truly a crowd pleaser where ever it is shown. With a small fortune invested, "Bloodshot" is a steal. Please contact myself or Hot Rods By Greg with any questions. Hotrodsbygreg@aol.com We can help arrange for shipping.
