Up for your viewing pleasure is a rare fine indeed! A 1966 Chrysler Imperial Convertible. One of only 514 made... There are probably less than 50 survivors around. You are looking at one example in pristine condition. Factory Formal Black (BB) with Champagne/Gold leather and vinyl interior (M9L). A much sough after color combination. This fine automobile spent its entire life in sunny California. It has always resided in a climate control area.

Although this prized collectible did not go through a rotisserie restoration , it was meticulously restored to the smallest detail for today driving standards. Everything works! There is absolutly nothing the new proud owner needs to do. It is rust free and the body is straight as an arrow. All new chrome work. Mirror finish repaints to original glory. The interior is original and it is in better than excellent condition. There are no rips or tears. It has aged gracefully and yet maintained the essence of fine quality finish without a blemish. One look at this fine automobile and one recognized that for 44 years this car has been pampered and well care for.

This is a work of art. A moving sculpture. Design by Elwood Engel. The lines are elegant and understate. The design is regal and rich. A beautiful proportion master piece from a by gone era.

Restoration:

Mileage: 80,000 original miles. It looks to be accurate from the condition of the car.

No documentation.

Engine: 440 cu in. (7.2L) engine. Tuned and serviced. All new belts. Engine runs

perfect as it should.

Transmission: Torqueflite Automatic. Rebuilt 7 years ago at 75,000. miles. Runs perfect.

Unfortunately, I do not have any documentation.

AC/Heater: All new conversion to R-26 system. Clean out evaporator core. New compressor.

Rebuilt AC/Heater control unit.

Brakes: Front and rear brake overhaul. Replace front and rear brake linings.

Rebuilt/replace all four calipers and wheel cylinders. Resurface/replace rotors or drums.

Repack non sealed bearings. Replace power brake booster.

Suspension: Front end overhauling with new control arm bushings, ball joints and shocks.

Repacked rear axle. Front end Alignment.

Steering unit: New power steering gear box installed.

Body: Repaint to original glory. A work of art. Black is the hardest color to paint.

This is a perfect paint job with an eagle eye to the last detail.

Chromework: All chrome work replated.

Convertible: New Stayfast canvas top.

New cylinders

New pump

New custom made boot.

Keyless entry: New keyless entry and alarm system.

Audio: New AM/FM shaft radio with I-Pod/I-Phone connection. Original radio in trunk.
