1969 DODGE CHARGER 440 c.i. Rotisserie Restored Show Car w/ Documents

This immaculate Charger was completely rotisserie restored, it is original with exception to the upgraded 1968 440 drive train. This is not your average restored Charger. I personally worked on this restoration for three years and was sure to do it correctly spending countless hours and money. I own a detail shop for classic and muscle cars and was sure to spend close attention to detail and fit and finish. There are just under 100 miles on the Charger since the restoration was completed.

PAINT, BODY & FRAME

The Charger restoration started out with finding the perfect car to restore. It was a un-restored original and was never taken apart. The body is all original sheet metal car and one of the best I have seen in my over 20 years of restoring MOPARS. The Charger was professionally sprayed in a downdraft bakebooth and is absolutely arrow straight. The Charger was also professionally wetsanded and buffed in a multi-step process and displays that high caliber deep show car shine. The entire undercarriage was also stripped, disassembled and painted. I have photos documenting the complete restoration process.

INTERIOR

The beautiful interior still has the original dash cluster, dash pad, door panels and upper door pads. The original bucket seats were fitted with a new full set of Legendary seat covers (front and rear). I also added a new headliner, trunk divider, package tray, jute padding, carpet and sill plates. The original console and shifter were restored and are in excellent shape. All gauges and lighting work and operate, including the vacuum operated headlights.

GLASS, TRIM & CHROME

All the glass is in excellent shape. The front windshield still wears a 1982 Florida Inspection sticker and I believe all glass is original to the car. All the trim pieces were hand polished and look great. The front and rear bumpers and bumperettes are all new.

DRIVETRAIN

The original 318 c.i. engine (XP29F) was upgraded to an excellent running 1968 440 motor was completely rebuilt to the true 10.1 compression. The 906 heads were also completely re-done and had hardened valve seats installed to safely run today’s fuel. The comp cam is 1 grind up from factory stock. The valve lift is .462 intake and .470 exhaust. It maintains a perfect 17” of vacuum needed for the vacuum assisted headlights and power brakes. The 727 transmission was also re-built and shifts through gears perfectly. The 8 ¾ rear end is new from backing plate to backing plate with 3.55 posi center section. The exhaust is a complete set-up from TTI. It is a 2 ½” mandrel bent system with H-Pipe Crossover, Flowmaster Mufflers, band clamps and new chrome tips providing an excellent true muscle car sound. This combo runs beautifully making excellent power. The Charger runs, cools and handles better than new.
