Your looking at a big block 1968 GTS Dodge Dart that I acquired from my son-in-law 4-years ago. My daughter informed me that her husband had to many toys and not spending enough time with her. In of lieu getting my daughter back I boughtthe car. The car has been stored in my garage for the last 4-years and has never seen rain or snow. This is what I can tell you about the car not being a hands on muscle car enthusiast. The 440 Magnum engine has a purple cam(?), Holley dual feed street dominator carburator/manifold, factory cast iron headers with a metallic powder coated finish and a new high torque starter. The engine runs strong, sounds good, runs cool in 90 degree weather, doesn't burn oil and has less than 2000 miles since being rebuilt. The transmission is a 4-speed with a Hurst shifter and a 8 3/4 sure-grip rear end ( ratio ? ). There's no rust anywhere, the paint is in good condition with only a few chips and the tires have plenty of thread left. The seats are in good condition, no tears or cracks, head liner has two small holes under the sun visor, the dash panel is faded a little, radio works and the heater has a new core. I would give the car a 8 based on a scale 1 to 10.I will try to answer any questions that you have, call Jack at 586-557-1873. The engine is a 1969 High Performance model and the rear end ratio is 391 to 1. I've had many questions about the original engine that came with the car and provided the VIN#( LS23P8B233418 ) to several requesters to verify whatit was. One requester just inform me the original engine was a 340 / 4-barrel based on the VIN# and / or Body Build Tag numbering code. |
