In 1956 Dodge entered the factory hot rod sweepstakes by introducing the hemi-powered D500 chassis. On January 12, 1956 as a mid-year option, Dodge made available the maximum duty race-equipped D500-1 chassis with numerous performance upgrades including a double four-barrel carbureted 315ci/295hp Hemi engine. As another mid year introduction Dodge debuted the Special Edition Golden Lancer which wre equipped with numerous factory upgrades.Some of the Golden Lancers came equipped with D500 powerplant and performance upgrades. This Golden Lancer is one of those cars.

With just 54,000 original miles and spending most of its life here in California, the recently completed nut and bolt restoration on this outstanding GoldenLancer was made simple. Boasting all of its original sheetmetal and all of its original drive-train, this one of a kind Custom Royal Golden Lancer is certainly irreplaceable !
