Original 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA Vin# 6A40S222202I have copies of the original build sheet and Texas title issued July 8th, 1966. I am the second owner of this GT hardtop. Odometer is correct and reads 93,000 miles. Car is equipped with the original factory “Selectaire” A/C, factory Power Steering, factory cruise control “Cruise O Matic”, and most important, the original professionally rebuilt 390 4V Thunderbird Big block and C6 Automatic transmission. Car has always been located in Austin, Texas having been sold originally by the Armstrong Johnson dealership (currently known as Leif Johnson Ford) I purchased the car from the original owners in 2006 following a complete restoration. The car has traveled approximately 1,000 miles since then. All numbers correct and matching where applicable. 390 right side engine block # C6ME-A Original Block and Heads were bored 30 over, larger SS valves and guides were added along with forged pistons. Engine balanced and blue printed. Engine work done by Mark Gonzales. MSD ignition. Holley Blue High performance Electric Fuel pump. Edelbrock 800CFM carburetor (also have original carburetor). Custom Headers and Edelbrock aluminum Intake Manifold (also have original cast intake manifold). New radiator & shroud. New exhaust system front and rear with Magnaflow Mufflers. Original C6 Transmission complete rebuild with Shift Kit. Built by Dwayne at All Tranz. Shifts very well! Factory 9 inch rear end. Original Sauterne Gold paint replaced with Black 2 years ago - Paint is very nice with new red GT stripe installed. Paint done by SS rides. Power steering pump recently rebuilt. Original Chrome is very nice. Body is very solid underneath. NO RUST ever. NONE. This is a super clean body with no bondo!Car is equipped with original front sway bars/traction bars. 17” wheels with new tires installed less than 1,000 miles ago. Original wheels included. New front and rear brakes – using all Ford Complete interior redone including headliner. Correct bucket seat with GTA console. Car runs and sounds incredible.
