This Falcon has had the same owner for thirty years, representing an acclumulation of many special Falcon Sprint, Mustang and high-performance Shelby parts in an effort to recognize the panel delivery that Carole Shelby had as a shop truck and"parts chaser" many years ago. (now a museum piece) I am describing this vehicle as thoroughly as possibleby categories..."The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly." The Good: Great running, recently rebuilt 301 with mildComp Cam and four-speed transmission with Hurst shifter. Vintage Air (blows cold) and aluminum radiator. Stainless disc front brakes. 9" Ford rear end. Monte Carlo front suspension stablilizer. Very rare export brace (Mustang) tofurther support improved handling.Good glass, new tintedw/s, all crank windows operate, extra set of electric rearpower window mechanism. Rear wheels have nice radius openings. Many Sprint interior pieces. Leather IP, not cracked or broken. Complete guage set.Smooth blackheadlining. Six-point aircraft seat belts mounted to custom roll bar.14" Cobra five spoke chrome wheels. Luggage rack. Sport outside mirrors.The Bad: Old paint job showing the signs of age with several chips. Blue Shelby accent still looks ok. A few blisters (shown) at the lower level which need attention. Chrome bumpers are peeling. Light rust on wheels, may clean up. Left rear tire has blister. Center console needs fastening. Non-stock red buckets are cracking at the lower seating area. Front carpet needs replacing. The Ugly: (see The Bad) Front bucket seats should be covered or replaced, but are comfortable. This vehicle has been a dependable driver and shows the road rash, yet has escaped any serious damage or rust through. If you are a Shelby fan or have some time to bring back the "sparkle", this tribute to the "old man" could be your opportunity for a fun project and reliable transportation.
