1961 Ford Falcon Futura Sport coupe. I purchased this car from the original owner's son a few years ago when it had 48,000 miles on the odometer. It now has 68,000 and runs like a clock. I apologize for the B&W pics. I'm unfamiliar with the daughter's fancy camera. The original color was Laurel Green metallic, and was repainted 3 years ago in a '91 Mercury Frost Green Metallic (similar to Mint Green from 1961). The hood and Driver's side front fender were replaced at that time due to PO's grandaughter dinging them up while learning to drive. Car is original to Northwest Arkansas and has been here it's whole life. It has rarely been rained on and spends most of it's pampered life in a garage.
There is no rust anywhere on the car. The interior was professionally redone 2 years ago in green/tan two tone. the material is polypropylene, not vinyl, so it will not go brittle and crack. The headliner and carpet were replaced. The door panels are a little worn, but not bad enough to replace right now. Also new door handles and trunk emblem. There is probably more, but you get the idea.
Rare 4 spoke Cragar S/S 13s on modern radial tires. Three of the original Futura only wheel covers (lost one out in the ozarks somewhere) and the original 13 inch wheels go with the car
Engine is a 144 c.i. 6 cyl backed by a ford-o-matic 2 speed auto. Also added a new 2 core radiator, pertronix ignition, All maintenance is current. Custom Auto sound AM/FM with 6x9 in package tray and kickpanel speakers. Go ahead and e-mail if you need more detail. I really don't want to sell this car, but my business needs more capital after closing for a year for my Iraq deployment. It is honestly a terrific little car, top of the Falcon line for '61. If you are a falcon fan this car will give you a warm fuzzy.
You will notice there is no antenna. I have a new reproduction from Mac's unit still in the box. The console liner and lid have been loosened in preparation for a new liner and fastners, but I have not ordered them. Original fiberboard glovebox liner is still in nice condition.
This is a 47 year old car (Birthdate 22 May 1961). If you are not familiar with antique cars or expect it to behave like a modern car, you will probably be disappointed. I am available via e-mail to answer any questions.
