You are bidding on a "rare" 19631/2 - Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible four class="MsoNormal">There were only - 4,602 built (series 15 model 76B). A true Falcon "Sprint" convertible! UPDATE... Body Plate info: Body Color TRIM Date AXLE TRANS 76B 87A OBD 5 I have owned the car just over two years now. I am unsure about mileage because the odometer
cable is broken. I have put less than 300 miles on it since I
have owned it. Not original V8 that came with the car. The original factory
engine is a 260 Small block V8. The car currently has a 289 in it. The transmission has the original standard
shift five-speed. It is sitting in a box (with Bell housing and shifter) and currently has a floor mounted
automatic shift installed. NO VISIBLE RUST ON OR INSIDE CAR... The engine is running rough, ran a test and found out that there are two cylinders with little or no compression. The car was running hot and shortly thereafter it started to run rough. It is to my belief that the head gasket is leaking. It may need new heads, not really sure. The car does run, although rough. Also has some short slowly draining the battery but is not the alternator or the voltage regulator. Items replaced by me: struts, thermostat, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, points, alternator, voltage regulator, and battery. The convertible top is fairly new and motor works. All the
seats have been re-upholstered. There are some misc. extra small parts, such as extra trim, tail lights, door panels, etc. The old upholstery is in a box. This is as much knowledge as I can give you
about the Falcon. This car would be an excellent restoration vehicle and is sought after by collectors! Thank You! |
