I purchased this vehicle February 22, 1971 from a dealer. I am the second owner of this beautiful, 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL 2 door convertible, VIN# 5U69Z157184. This vehicle was special ordered out of Pittsburgh, Pa with a 4 speed manual transmission in the console. Vehicle was built in Louisville, KY on March 22, 1965. It has bucket seats with a factory 390 V8 engine - 300 horsepower (compression ratio 10.1:1). Engine has 75,370 original miles, 4 barrel carburator, dual exhaust, and a glass back window that unzips. Vehicle is all original except for being stripped down and repainted back to original color, which is Rangoon Red. Top was replaced and back bumper rechromed. Vehicle has had no body work done: all original.
