This is a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL, that is approximately 90% plus done. The bumpers and the rear interior speaker grill is all that is left to be rechromed, all stainless and aluminum has been polished with exception of the front seat horse shoes and the interior door panels. All nuts, bolts, clips, body mounts, door latches, hood/trunk latches have been re plated. The car was from Montana with no rust, with exception to a small place under the gas pedal, which was sectioned out and replaced. The car was off the frame, media blasted, the frame was media blasted and coated with POR15 then painted. The car is as slick underneath as up top. The inner fenders, core support, fan shroud were also media blasted and powder coated. I installed a 1959 Thunderbird Hood scoop and have an extra 2 stock hoods – not painted.

Motor: 390 3x2 bored .060 over forged piston, complete Crain valve train, camshaft is an H-296-2 on Dove stands, Melodon oil pump, shaft and 7quart pan, stainless steel valves and the heads port matched to the intake. FPA headers jet hot coated cast iron gray. I even added a heat riser tube for the choke. Balanced and blueprinted.

Transmission is out of a 67 Galaxie and was built to handle the cars horsepower of course, TCI 2500 stall

Rear gears are Richmond 4:11 with an Alburn Pro Limited slip, Crites traction bar set up. I do have a spare rear end housing if you want to switch it out - included

Interior: New Padded dash, all knobs and handles re chromed, seat frames were stripped and powder coated, adjusting tracks replated. I have seat covers, you will need carpet, headliner and sail panels. The vinyl Center console and door panels need refurbishing; I was going to send them to just dashes when I stopped working on it, steering wheel is excellent, but does need painting – it is unrestored

The glass is all new, with exception of the rear window and it either needs replaced or buffed and clear coated. It is pretty scratched up and is not as clear as the new glass of course.

All weather stripping, bushings, hood bumpers etc…are all new nothing reused

This is an awesome car with a ton of potential, one of the best in the nation. I am just not into cars anymore. If you buy it you will also get a trailer load of parts, enough to keep you busy at the flea market for a long time, AC system, brackets of all types, extra rocker panels, you name it. I had to buy three parts cars off this guy in order to get what I wanted off of one. One price for all three cars, so I ended up with a bunch of stuff. What you do not take goes to the trash
