1957 Thunderbird in superb condition. I am selling because I have more cars than I do garage space. I have only owned this car since October 2007. The person I purchased the car from gave me the history.

The first thing I want to mention is that this is an UNCUT car. There are no patches. That is rare, very rare. Almost all T Birds have some metal work on them. But this one doesn’t.

Car was originally from Virginia. It was brought to Florida for restoration. The restoration is about 8 years old and was professionally done. The car is an original metal car. There are no patch panels. The car is painted in 1956 Turquoise Blue. I want to be clear on this. It is NOT a 1957 color. It is the 1956 Blue. The Paint is beautiful, deep and rich. I’ve received compliments on the quality of the paint wherever I take it. Car has only the soft top that’s in good condition. There are no holes but it’s not as nice as the paint. There are 3 spots where paint did get scratched. One is on the skirt the other where a hard top scratched paint when it was being put on. I do NOT have the hard top.

There are 4 brand new Coker Tires on it. They have less than 300 miles on them.

The chrome is excellent

Because the car was in Florida the prior owner had two manually controlled auxiliary fans installed to help keep car running cool. I have never had to use them, but, they do work. Radiator recently boiled clean, tested and soldered where needed.

All gauges work, but, gas is off a bit. ¼ tank means empty. I learned this the hard way on the side of the road one day.

Interior is black and could use new padding in seat. Sun visors should be replaced.

The original radio doesn’t work, but, there’s an AM/FM Cassette unit on the floor that works fine.

Car has a cruise control unit in it, it doesn’t work and I’ve never bothered to see why. I was told by prior owner that it worked intermittently, but he too never bothered to investigate why.

Car is a reliable, beautiful piece of Americana. It’s meant to be driven and enjoyed. I am so confident with this car that if you win the bid and are not satisfied with the car you can walk away. I only ask that you pay me my cost to relist the car on eBay. You can’t beat that for confidence. Car has current New York State inspection
