Contact me: dragpacktorino@gmail.com This car embodies what a real muscle car is, an intermediate size car, with an extremely high horse power engine. This isnot a car you are going to find every day, or even next year some time. It is really a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a car of this caliber, and rarity. This is the car that was built to do battle on the streets, and strips with the likes of the LS6 Chevelle, Ram Air 4 GTO Judge, or Hemi Charger. True, there are a lot of cars that were built to do that, you name them, they are out there. Just one thing though, the top on those other cars likely don't go down. Fewultra high performance muscle cars in any brand had a top that went down, thats just the way it is. This is a 429 Super Cobra Jet, Drag Pack, Torino Convertible. Now your probably asking yourself when the last time you saw one these was? There are only a very small hand full of these cars out there, 7 to be exact, 19 built originally. This car of course is one of one according to the Elite Marti report, which I have in my possession, and comes with the car. This car has nice original options on it to, like Hideaway Headlamps, 8000 RPM Ribbon Tach, Bucket Seats, Color Keyed Racing Mirrors, Console, G70 Raised White Letter Tires, Power Disc Brakes, Power Top With Back light Glass, and AM Radio. That is the options list on the car, I tastefully added a couple more options to the car, like the Laser Stripes, Rim Blow Steering Wheel, AM/FM Radio, Deck Lid Spoiler, and Chin Spoiler. All the parts added to the car are Original Ford Parts, absolutely correct for the year with exception to the Chin Spoiler, whichis not a Ford part, butsold over the counter at Ford dealerships back in the day. Any, all of these additional options can be removed from the car with ease. My personal taste is the car looks stunning with the adds, and that is why I did it this way. 1970/1971Torino's are all I do, I enjoy the cars more then you can imagine. I will do another in the near future. The car is whatanyone wouldcall a #1 car. On restorationsof Fords whether Mustang, Shelby, or Torino, there will always be arguments as to what is correct and what is not. I restore a car based on what I find on the car, and go as far as tinting the red oxide primer the way it was on the car originally, they just are not always the same colors everywhere on all cars as they roll off the assembly line. You may find something on the car that you may not think is correct. The way the car is restoreded today, is what I think the car looked like when new based on what I found prior to restoration. The car is restored 100%, there is no part of this car that was not refinished, or rebuilt. The engine build is a little hotter then stock, but restored to original specs on the outside. All the components on the engine are original date coded parts, from carb to fuel pump, from exhaust manifolds to water pump. The rims and tires that are on the car are whatwould came when new, the tires are new of course, but the rims are original pieces powder coated black, and the hub caps are new old stock. I opted to leave off the beauty rings, it looks very tuff without them. Pretty much the only thing on the car that is clearly not done like when it was new, is the exhaust system, I did that to non stock specs, and it sounds all that much better for it, using 2.5" pipes, and flow through mufflers. The car has no miles on it since restoration, and an NOS speedometer/odometer was used, and now shows 00000.2 miles. I have no plans on drivng the car so the car should have less than a mile on it when it is picked up. The power top goes up and down nicely, and I had new top seals made for the car, top seals for these car are nearly impossible to find. There wereplenty of NOS parts used on the car during restoration, and rebuilt original components, I avoid reproductions parts whenever possible although there are some. In regards to documentation, I have the original invoice for the car, and I have the build sheet that I found under the carpet. I also have the framed Elite Marti Report, that comes with the car to. I am sure you will have questions, please feel free to email me, and I will give you my number, or call you. I would be happy to answer all your questions about the car. Just so you know, I have owned two of the other SCJ convertible 70' Torino's, and when they were offered for sale, they sold without a problem, what so ever. If this is the car for you, be proactive about acquiring it, it will sell to someone. I added a paypal feature to avoid the people that hit buy it now, and that do not actually plan on following through with the sale. If you do not have a paypal account, not a problem, I would be happy to not use paypal after speaking with you on the phone to confirm that you are a real buyer if need be. Please follow payment instructions though if you plan on buying, and thanks for looking, I look forward to hearing from you. |
