Up for bid in this auction is this rare 1961 Mercury Colony Park 6 pass. station wagon. It is a California built car, built in Los Angeles, the date code is 15C, a Z code 390 car. It has a rebuilt '61 390 engine and cruise-o, new radiator, disc brakes, a 3.00third member, universal joints,axle bearings, a new dual exhaust system and glaspack mufflers,and more, it is very good running car. CA Y.O.M. license plates UEZ 458. Both bumpers have been staightened and replated.Many NOS parts have gone into it's restoration including the fender gunsights, center hood emblem, and more. New American torque thrust D 15" X 7" wheels, a underdash CD player w/ speakers mounted in plywood rear panels and in the front kick panels. The car has been stripped to metal and repainted it's original Sheffield Gray Metallic color, kind of a rare color, the only apparent was at the bottom of the RH quarter, which was cutout and replaced with new metal, otherwise, it is seems to have no rust. Options on the car are as follows: 390 engine, cruise-o-matic transmission, power steering, power brakes, radio, and heater. The power tailgate window was standard on the Colony Park model. The interior is black and white, the door panels are original, the seats have been redone, the carpet set is new, it has an original black dash pad and padded visors added and electic windshield wipers.
