1966 CYCLONE GT CONVERTIBLE

Here's a chance to own a very nice REAL Mercury Comet Cyclone GT Convertible. This car in this conditionis very rare, but rarer still is the fact that this car is a FACTORY 4-speed as well. This car had a frame on restoration and is ready to be shown, driven and enjoyed. Absolutly no rust, the paint is perfect as is the interior. Engine bay is spotless. Underside does have some road grime due to the fact that the car is driven. Top, top frame, rear window and all glass is excellent as is the chrome.

Has the 390 - 4V engine. I do not believe the engine is original, but appears factory correct. Has the original 4-speed transmission(code 5)as well as the original 3.25 posi rear axle (code D).

Paint code indicates that the original color was Olive Mist (code R). It has been refinished with a beautiful Cardinal Red finish used on the 1966 Indy Pace Car that year. Paint job is superb! I challenge you to find any of the old color anywhere on the car. The Pace car decals are available if you would like them. Currently has a Hurst shifter, original shifter is available if desired.

Purchaser will be expected to submit a $2500 deposit within 3 days of the sale date. Balance is due within 7 days of the sale date. Preferred payment method is by wire transfer, or cash in person. Cashier checks will be considered if drawn upon a major US bank. However, car will NOT be released until the check has cleared to myself and my bank's satisfaction.
