YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1966 MERCURY COMET CALIENTE 2 DOOR HARDTOP. THIS IS AN H CODE 390 CAR, WITH THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, AND FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, ( NOT WORKING ). CLEAR OHIO TITLE. THIS IS A SUPER SOLID OKLAHOMA CAR THAT HAS ONLY BEEN IN OHIO FOR 3 YEARS. I BOUGHT IT IN CINCINNATI IN OCTOBER OF 05 FROM THE THE GUY THAT BROUGHT IT UP FROM OKLAHOMA A COUPLE OF MONTHS EARLIER. ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ISSUES WITH THE UNIBODY, FLOORS, OR TRUNK. THE ONLYAREAS OF RUST BUBBLESSHOWING ARE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE QUARTER BEHIND THE WHEEL OPENING, AND ON THE LOWER FRONT CORNER OF THE DRIVERS DOOR. THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT FENDER HAS REPAIRABLE DAMAGE, AND THE DRIVERS SIDE QUARTER HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND PRIMERED AROUND THE FUEL DOOR AREA. IT WAS LIKE THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR SO I'M NOT SURE WHAT IS UNDER THE PRIMER, BUTTHE QUARTER DOESN'T LOOK ALL BEAT UP INSIDE THE TRUNK. THECHROME SIDE TRIM, AND THE GRILL MOULDINGS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, BUT IT'S IN GOOD CONDITION, AND ALL THERE EXCEPT FOR ONE OF THE GRILL MOULDINGS. MECHANICALLY THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD. THE BRAKESWORK, ( FRONT DRUM, NOT DISC ), BUT THEY GRAB WHEN APPLIED, NOT UNUSUAL FOR DRUM BRAKES. THETIMING COVER AND TOP END OF THE MOTORHAD RECENTLY BEEN APARTWHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR, BUT IT HAD A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. I PULLED THE TOP END OFF,AND HAD THE HEADSMAGED, PRESSURE TESTED, AND REBUILT. WHEN I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER I REPLACED THE2 BARREL INTAKE AND CARB WITH A FACTORY C6AE-G, S CODE INTAKE, AND ONE OF MY REBUILT 4100 AUTOLITE4 BARREL CARBURETORS. THE CAR CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE 390GT EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, SINCE THESE ARE THE ONLY FE MANIFOLDS THAT WORK ON THIS BODY STYLE. THERE WAS ALREADY A NEW 3" EXHAUST IN PLACE, ( NO TAIL PIPES ). THE INTERIOR IS BENCH SEAT, COLUMN SHIFT. THE FRONT SEAT HAS A REPAIRABLE SPLIT ON THE TOP CORNER BY THE DOOR. THE THE REAR SEAT AND DOOR PANELS ARE GOOD. THE HEADLINER, DASH PAD, AND CARPETING NEEDTO BE REPLACED.
