Classic 1969 Mercury Cougar. All original (except wheels). H-code 351-V8,
FMX Automatic transmission, Power steering, Power Disc brakes, Rim blow horn,
AM radio. 123,000 original miles.

In 1969, there were ONLY 947 Cougars made with the "Light Aqua" color paint & "Aqua" color interior. How many of those 947 had the White Vinyl top & same options as this car?? Maybe just a couple hundred!! And how many of those couple hundred are left today? Maybe 30, 20, 10, or less? So this could be the ONLY ONE and/or the NICEST one left!! Door ID tag reads; Body - 65A = Standard Cougar.
Paint Color - E = Light Aqua.
Interior Color - 2K = Aqua.
Build date - 02K = October 2.
DSO - 53 = Oakland, California.
Axle - 2 = 2.75:1
Transmission - X = FMX. VIN is: 9R91H. Built at the San Jose, California assembly plant. It was purchased new on December 19, 1968 at Isackson Ford in Arcata, California. It stayed in Northern California it's whole life until coming up to southern Oregon a few years ago. You can tell when you look at it that it has always been garaged, and has been very well taken care of throughout it's life. It was re-painted the original factory color a few years ago due to natural fading of the original paint over 30+ years. There are a couple of minor parking lot chips in the paint, but otherwise it still looks GREAT!! It still has the original white vinyl top. It is a very straight, solid car with no apparent rust. The floors, undercarriage, trunk & engine area are all solid & clean, as you would expect from a garaged California car. It still even has the factory trunk mat & factory trunk insulation under the truck mat!! The interior is also in excellent original condition, but could use a new carpet. I have purchased a new carpet and will give it to the buyer with the car. This Cougar is in very NICE, clean original condition inside & out showing very minimal wear. It has a few minor cosmetic flaws, but has been previously entered in some local "show & shine" car shows (the kind of car show where people drive their cars to the show, and then drive them back home after the show, most of which are in excellent condition), and although it didn't win any trophies, It get's plenty of attention, complements & smiles where ever it goes! Runs strong and very fun to cruise in!! It's currently assessed & insured at a value of $20,000+ in it's present condition! The insurance agent inspected the car in person & photographed it.
