Up for sale from my private collection is another one from my Cougar collection - this "driver quality" 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7. This head-turning driver features a 351 2v Cleveland V8 engine, automatic transmission, A/C, power sterring, power brakes, rim blow steering wheel, AM/FM cassette, dual exhaust, Eliminator hood scoop and rear spoiler, 15" Magnum 500 wheels with correct center caps and BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.

This is my everyday driver.It runs well (though is likely due for a tune up), drives and shifts nicely, steers well, and stops as it should.Although it is a"driver", I get many crowds around the car and compliments wherever I go with this car. It has that "just right" style and stance.The interior is in average condition needing a carpet and headliner at some point and some repair to the heat and A/C ducts which have come undone over time.The underhood area is stock and could use a good cleaning and the trunk area likewise.

The following condition issues should be noted. The rear valance and lower driver's side quarter panel have a small dent from backing into a high curb and need repair. The paint is driver quality at best, with various small scratches and cracks in the paint about the car. The lower door corners are beginning to bubble noticeably, indicating some rust - as well as similar at the front edge of the vinyl top. The gear shift selector button has come loose and requires repair. None of this should detract from what the car is - a very nice old Cougar needing minor work that turns heads everywhere it goes and can be driven every day without major issue.

Current NADAAverage Retail Value is $23,040 and more appropriately Low Retail is $12,540. I have set the Buy It Now price at a level intended to sell this car, and will entertain reasonable offers through the eBay "Make Offer" button. At the price listed this is a great deal for such a beautiful driveable classic car.
