The Monarch was a canadian version of a mercury,sold by ford dealers in canada,production of this model was about 4,400 compared to to 130,000 mercurys.The engine is a 255 cu.in.flathead v-8,3speed non overdrive standard trans.The grille,rear trunk lid,side stainliss hood lion & crest were the main differences,plus a few different dash items.The car lived most of its life in western canada,i am the fifth owner,can trace back to the orginal owner,have more history on the car,but too long of a list to print,will be handed over to the next owner.The car when i bought it was basically an orginal dry car,repainted to a colour of my choice,all chrome replated,stainliss polished,complete new interior,some of the glass replaced,new radial wide white tires.
