RARE! 1950 OLDS "Rocket 88" Futuramic Convertible “Survivor”--PRICE REDUCED!--the original "muscle car".

303 cu. in. OHV V-8, Hydramatic transmission. Car still has 6-volt electrical system with working gauges & radio! Original blue-colored leather interior all intact (aftermarket carpet). All glass & chrome in good shape. Body real straight. Olds "experts" tell me rear view mirror & side fender mirror & antenna "close, but not correct". Car starts right up, runs & drives just like a 1950 Olds should. New paint & convertible top in mid 07. Car belonged to Olds dealership mechanic, & was purchased from his widow (St. Louis, MO) after sitting in storage for 10+ yrs. Even the tires are pre-DOT (1978). New gas tank (no-rust, from donor car), NEW gas gauge sender & pick-up, fluids flushed, fuel pump rebuilt with correct Buna kit, NEW water pump (Fusick). Also have aftermarket heavy-duty front sway bar produced by OCA fanatic--not yet installed. Everything on this car works as it should except clock, & turn signals (not sure about top hydraulics---they're all there, just haven’t gotten around to proper flush & rebuild of pump & slaves). Original "knee-action" shocks probably need rebuild too. Brakes are good. Overall mechanical cond. 75/100. Car has always been garaged! This is not a show car, but always gets lots of comments, ooh's & aah's at Olds club shows, Good Guys, & most recently, "Route 66" show, etc. There are little flaws here & there in paint (pictured), & upholstery (frt lower "kick panels" need covering), inside of trunk could stand re-upholster, although it is covered with "glued-on" black felt-like material. You can have a LOT of fun with this car! (see picture #6, for a magazine shoot).

I boughtthis car after searching for 4 years!---to take my wife & 2 teenage daughters out "cruising"---Now, after only owning it for 2 years, pending divorce forces sale!
