1965 CHEETAH by Bill Thomas &NICKEY

The legendary Bill Thomas Race Cars, of Anaheim California was contracted directly bt General Motors for a very significant project. The year was 1964.

He was commissioned to build a race car, with a single daunting task, to beat Carroll Shelby / Ford's new A/C Cobras. Hence, the Bill Thomas Cheetah was born.

The BTC was an immediate success throughout the country. Soon there after GM pulled all their direct racing support, from all such programs and the BTC was no exception. The BTC was put on a back burner, pun intended for decades.

The Cheetah is BACK! Thethrilling result of a painstaking and intensive project. This Cheetah is not a replica, but an authentic Continuation that is authorized by the "Cats" creator himself, Bill Thomas.

This is one of the most storied, legendary vehicles of the greatest era and that is why everyone involved has taken such care to protect and adhere to Bill's original vision. "It has been a long, long hiatus" since the last Cheetah, said Thomas, "But the wait is over!"

SUSPENSION: Fully adjustable independant suspension, four wheel coil over shocks, tubular wishbone trailing arms, Corvette spindles, bearings and independant rear end

STEERING: Woodwardrack & pinion

WHEELS: American Racing Torq-Thrust vintage style

TIRES: BF Goodrich Radial T/A

BODY: Hand laid fiberglass as original with 6.0 oz. inner door panels

COOLING: Original style Corvette aluminum radiator

FUEL SYSTEM: Aluminum 15 gallon fuel tank

INTERIOR: Fiberglass panels, original style clutch and brake pedal assembly with reservoirs, fully carpeted with original style vinyl covered seats.

INSTRUMENTS: Stewart Warner full gauges with original Moon steering wheel
