Although many historians have looked at 1929 as the year of the stock market crash, Packard experienced good sales for the year. By April, Packard had sold 13,239 cars, and 12,979 more found owners in the second quarter. Sales declined slightly by the end of the year, but by 1930, the entire automotive industry knew that trouble was ahead. Despite the depression, Packard continued to tout its fine automobiles and would eventually find its way out of an era that would claim many great automotive names.

St. Louis Car Museum presents another great Packard of the classic era. Undoubtedly one of the most desirable and sought after year, this 1929 Packard Sedan would make a excellent tour car or Sunday driver.

This car is a older restoration of a good solid car. The paint has wore thin and could use redoing in time. The car runs and drives very well. Finished in moss green with black fenders. The car is rock solid as the doors shut like a old ice box. A few of the gauges will need attention but that can be done in time. We believe the upholstery to be original. The upholstery still looks good but the drivers area has a few holes as seen in the photos. The top insert is original and could use replacing. The car is still complete with the original rear curtains and rear vanities. All the fluids have been checked and the car has just received a fresh tune up. The car always starts easy and runs down the road with ease. This Packard is a blue chip investment with only one way to go and that is up!
