This very nice Packard had been fully restored and is ready to drive anywhere. I have owned the car twelve years and have loved every minute of it. Originally purchased here in Southern California in 1948 by Irma Park of Movieland Wax Museum fame. She parked the car in the garage when her husband passed in 1959 and it stayed there until I purchased it in 1996. The odometer read 32,000. The car has been completely redone in the past two years. New paint complete down to the metal. New chrome everywhere including all window metal. Quite a job. New glass except the rear curved piece. Rims were powder coated green to match and the tires were new in 2006. It has been driven around 1500 to 2000 miles since restoration. The color is Silvan green metallic. Perfect match in high end glazzarit paint. The interior was redone in 2004 and is in great condition. New headliner, carpet ,the correct hogshair from Bill Hirsh and the door and seat fabric is original material from SMS in Oregon. All the wood is in wonderful condition. This car has an overdrive transmission that works like it was designed. Engine was rebuilt from the ground up, new everything. The intake is a four barrel variety that I added along with a restored four barrel card from Datona Carbs in florida. The intake and exhaust have been ceramic coated to insure the finish stays rust free. Intake grey and exhaust black. Muffler and pipes new in 2005. New rear springs in 2000. Radio worked after new tube installed and quit last year. Probably same tube. Clock has never worked. All the wiring has been replaced with a new harness form XYZ wire. Under dash and engine compartment including horns and lights. New cables for battery and new battery just this month. The car has a unique top oiler mounted on the firewall. It takes miracle oil. Works like new. Wipers have not been reinstalled under the dash. I never use them. Parts are all installed and just need the cables hooked up and the hose to the motor installed. Very simple job. Hubcaps are brand new from Bill HIrsh with upgrade centers. Real classy. Also have the whole bird for the hood if you would like it. Needs chroming. The trunk has been reflocked as original and the spare was the one in the car when I purchased it. Original paint on the spare. All original jack and manual are with the car. This Packard came with a spotlight in the glove box and it still is in there. Works great with original Packard insignia.
