We are selling this wonderful vintage 1936 Packard Touring Coupe for friends who live here in Elkhorn,Wisconsin.They purchased thisdelightful vintagecar in 1985 in Chicago,IL.,where it had been sitting inside a garage.We have the original bill of sale and the title was purchased in 1990,at the Dept. of Vechicle,as the owner could not find the title,it is clear.Theyspent 13 years searching and gathering parts for this car, then had Vintage Vehicles Co.Inc. out of Wautoma,Wisconsin who then did the partialrestoration,inside and out.We have all the paperwork to show this also,as well as photos.This Packard has been kept inside a garage since that time,with the occasional drive in a parade,sunday drive thru the area,there is a custom made car cover which comes with this car also to the winner of this auction.This is truly a beauty! This Packard is a 120 2dr touring coupe number [994]-1102.This car was entered in the 100th Packard Anniversary in Warren,Ohio which at the time was told only 5 of this body style exsist in this country.The original owner and title of this vehicle could not be located and a new title was purchased.Due to the original owner not being located we cannot confirm the actual milage on this vehicle,the milage we stated above is what it states in the car right now.This Packard has the desirable and rare Queen's Trunk.The color is a pale butter yellow and it is lovely! There are Hunter green pinstripes from the front to the back.Recently,put on 2 new Firestone 4" white walls in the rear and 4" white wall commanders are in the front.The rims are painted like the body of the vehicle with hunter green pinstripes and chrome Packard rims on all 4 wheels. The top of the roof was restored with newblack vinyle material.The dashboard and steering wheel are original.All window glass plus front and back windshields were replaced with new glass.The interior seats and headliner all replaced with new brown mohair material.The engine was taken apart and new piston rings and bearings replaced,along with a new radiator core added.This car has a new rebuilt starter,rebuilt generator,new spark plugs,and runs smooth and quiet.The engine is the original straight flathead 8 cylinder engine that was in the vehicle and has a slight hairline crack on the side of the block[see photo].The company who did the restoration will testify this engine is sound and the small crack should not and has not affected the running ability of the car. Note that the photo of the doorhandle,it is not original the owners did not find one for that door,the other still has it's original handle.This car has been in many parades and turned many heads at it's stunning presence comming down the road.There islittle wear some minor little dingson the this vintage lady,a little touch up paint needed if you desire,she is a dream come true for you! All paperwork has been kept from the current owners who have enjoyed her for many years,now it is your turn!
