Fast440 is extremely pleased to offer a true piece of Drag Racing history, Dave Wren's notorious Super Stock '70 Cuda two time National record holder. We are representing this car on behalf of a valued client, and he was able to speak to Dave Wren himself to gather even more racing history on the car. It was interesting to learn that the two records were set with different engine and transmisson configurations. He won the SS/DA class with an automatic and Hemi Motor, and the SS/D class with a four-speed/Hemi setup.

DDave Wren Purchased the car new at Collette Motors in Hillsboro Oregon as a factory 440 CID V-Code with automatic transmission, SIX PACK carburetor setup, 8-3/4 Sure-Grip reardifferntial with 3:55 ratio, Shaker Hood, Hemi Orange/Black interior car.

The car has been restored to more closely resemble how it was purchased when it was new with the addition of a Date Code correct 1970 440 SIX PACK setup.

To prepare the car for It's future as a racing legend, Dave immediately pulled the 440 SIX PACKand installed his own race prepared Hemi Motor. Dave built the motor to different specifications depending on which transmission he was running, automatic vs. manual. He also tubbed the rear wheel wells, installed sub-frame connectors and installed a Dana 60 with an estimated 5:13 gear ratio and spool. The car still has this race proven rear differential to this day.

This is the same roll bar installation used on the car when it was raced in the '70's.

We have never seen a more well preserved and un-restored dash board,dash padand gauge cluster. Nothing short of mint condition in our opinion.

1377.2 miles, and mostly a quarter mile at a time. We would also like to remind you that this car was never registered to drive on the road until very recently for the purposes of attending Mopar meets.

Please note the non- Rally Gauge cluster/Radio Delete dashboard. Dave tried to order the car with as few options as possible for racing purposes. Galen Govier has authenticated these options as original to the car.

Per the preferences of the current owner, an A-833 Four-Speed Pistol Grip manual transmission has been installed.

The historical value of this car is immense. Dave Wren ran against the bestSuper Stockcars and driversof the time including Sox and Martin, Old Trapper Al Branham, Dick Landy, Bobby Warren, Ken Montgomery, Rusty Gillis, Ron Rizzo and many more. Vintage photos and documention will verify that this car raced agaist these tough contendors. The Notorious Multi-Winner Hemi 'Cuda certainly held It's own against some dead serious competition. This car appears to be the most publicized and acknowlegedcar that Dave Wren ever raced.

Countless vintagearticles can be foundon this car's illustrious racing history including Car Craft,Hot Rod, National Dragster and Super Stock magazines.

Just recently, Mopar Enthusiast Magazine performed two photo shoots on the car.

The car was recently restored, but not over restored to preserve It's historic integrity. All original sheetmetal with the obvious exception of the tubbed rear wheel wells. In our opinion, the paint and body are excellent in terms of quality and condition. The decals have been painstakingly re-created based on vintage photographs.All mechanicals have been gone through, and the car is very strong and brutally quick.

Recent sales on famousvintage drag cars have broken the million dollar mark, and this one is priced to sell. All reasonable offers will be taken seriously.
