Vehicle Description THESE ARE NOT!! STOCK PHOTOS, OR STOLEN PHOTOS. THEY ARE PHOTOS OF MY CAR TAKEN ON 7-1-08 BY A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER WITH GOOD EQUIPMENT!!! Up for sale is my beautiful 1974 Plymouth Duster 360. This an excellent muscle car with a well built, well running engine, low miles and near perfect interior. The car has 55,499 miles on it, with under 10k on a fully rebuilt Engine and Transmission. It has a 360 motor bored 32 over, 4 Barrel carb, True Cowl hood, 350 Stahl torque convertor, MSD box, posi, Dual pipes, lots of chrome, auto, working factory heat. Fresh black paint 1 year ago, near mint interior with black buckets, rear bench and carpet/headliner, wood dash and door panels. 8.25 rear end. I had the rear brakes redone last summer, and it has a new cd player and 6x9's. This car will smoke the tires in a heartbeat, and is sure to turn heads wherever you go. It has been driven very lightly since being restored, and has been garage kept for the past 18 months or so. It could use a couple of cosmetic touches -there is a small chip in the hood paint, but it is between the scoops and so it is hard to notice, also there is a very small flaw in the paint on the drivers side, also very hard to see... new wheels would really make it look great, and it is missing half of its stripes on the passenger side, but a stripe kit can be had for very cheap from Phoenix Vehicle Graphics. Other than those things, it is in AMAZING shape. Mechanically, it needs a new speedo cable, but that is a cheap and simple fix I never got to, and it would not suffer from a tune up, BUT THATS ALL. It starts, runs and drives like an absolute dream... The interior is in as good a shape as any 70s mopar I have seen, with almost no wear to the headliner. The black buckets are in excellent condition, and the matching black rear bench is as well. The wood trim is nice and clean, no dash cracks or bubbles, all around amazing condition. I put a new Sony CD player headunit with detachable face and new Sony 6x9s in it around 8 months ago. When I purchased this car a few years ago, I had my heart set on a 74 Duster because I feel they have the best looking body style of all of the affordable 70s mopar muscle cars. I spent a full year driving and comparing different Dusters, and this one was BY FAR THE BEST I FOUND. The big engine screams, and it will snap your head back if you stomp the gas. I cant not drive for five minutes without getting waves and thumbs ups and compliments from people on the street. The ONLY reason I am selling it is because my interests have moved into motorcycles and I need the room and attention for that new hobby. If I had the ability, I would drive this car for many more years. If someone threw a new set of wheels on it they would certainly have a car worthy of showing. I have shown it in several smaller local shows and it has always been one of the more cared for and respected restorations around. I am confident that a better 74 Duster is not around for the money... Serious bidders ONLY... please do NOT contact me with tons and tons of questions if you are just a tire kicker and have no interest in actually purchasing a car! |
