I have here for auction a 1972 Duster Twister. This is an original A51 "Twister" package car and is factory FY1 Lemon Twist yellow with black interior.It has a running,(smokes), 318 and a very good shifting 904, with a 7 1/4 rearend. The brakes,(four wheel drums),were redone recentley.The car was sold to me #'s matching although I have not checked any of the block or trans castings to verify as I was planning on going with a 360. I bought the car running and driving but it has since developed a coolant leak from the pass. side rear freeze plug on the head. I started to remove some things,(radiator,fan,battery) to pull the motor and install new freeze plugs but I haven't got around to getting it out. All the stuff I have removed from the car is included. The car will probably need to have the front suspension gone trough as it has excessive play going down the road. The car also has a nice set of ralleys and newer Road Hugger G/T tires. As for the bad things with the car, it does have some rust issuse but is mostly solid. First the passenger side door has got a bad place right along the door bottom that would need to be addressed. It could possibly be fixed but I would put a door on it. The floors also have some rust on the driver's side in the foot well and in the back seat area. The area around and under the seat is very solid though. The pass side floors are fine with some minimal scale on the very surface. The trunk floor has some rust in the spare tire well and surface rust across most of it until you get to the quarter extensions. The tail panel has been worked at some point in time and has some rustout under the pass side taillight. This piece is now being reproduced so it shouldn't be a hard fix. Finally it also has some very small places in the lower quarters like most of these car develop although it is not in need of an entire panel just some small patches. I have removed the carpet from the car and have installed a set of 73 Dart/Duster buckets to replace the worn out factory bench. I also have a complete set of Twister repro graphics to go with the car and a set of sbp ralley center caps.
