New Page Up for sale is a 1956 Pontiac Safari - clean car interior is 9/10 exterior same 9/10 Engine is a stock 316 - professionally rebuilt to factory specs less than 4000 miles ago. Transmission is stock rebuilt at the same time ~ 4000 miles ago which was about 4 years ago. New steering box New complete brake system From what I can tell the car went through a complete restoration about 7 years ago. The running gear redone 4 years ago. All chrome is there - all glass is there no cracks - Original windshield - believe it or not. Cooker reproduction tires Originally a CA car moved to UT about 2 years ago - car has been kept inside since restoration - car is driven every weekend - runs great. Odometer shows 30,000 so take that for what it is worth - I do not know if that is 30k, 130k, or 230k but the car is VERY VERY CLEAN. There were a total of 4042 1956 safaris ever built - less than 300 remain in the world today - what makes this car unique is the factory air. When the car was built factory air was 20% increase in price so hardly any rolled off the line in 1956 with it. I have owned the car for 4 years and have never seen another one with factory air - all the shows I have been to neither has anybody else. I haven't been able to find how many were built with air - so I don't know how RARE this car truly is it is one of only handful in the world I know that. This car spends most of the time either in the garage on Sunday drives or at car shows - gets looks everywhere you go - 1st place show winner nearly every time.
