Very rare Catalina 2 door post with 32100 original miles! Always a South Georgia car and never out of Brunswick, Ga, this carspent its lifegaraged until about 10 years ago when a "collector" bought it with intentions to restore it. We've all heard that story and for years, while nothing was done with the car, it wasn't for sale. While this should have been a barn find, somebody forgot to put it in the barn! I've known this car for close to 20 years and outside storage has taken its toll. But still after sitting all that time, the motor still runs quiet and smooth, starting immediately on old gas!

This car, while easily restored, is a perfect candidate for a clone or nostalgia racer. In the late 50's and early 60's Pontiacs wereTHE car with wins on the NASCAR circuit and drag strips. With a high performance 389 (348 hp like the early GTO's) and the light body being identical to a Chevy Biscayne except for the sheet metal, the 348 Chevys, 383 Mopars, and 352 and 390 hipo Fords of the day were easy pickin's. With 3X2's, some engine internals, and a four speed this car would still be an automobile to be reckoned with in any circle.

The interior is very easily restored to original with good vinyl on the seats and door panels. The body is solid except for rust on the bottom of the front fenders, minor rust on the driver's rocker panel, and some rust under the rear window on the driver's side; all very repairable and shown in the photos. Glass is all good and usable. Chrome and trim is very good and most should polish out (no pits). Floors and trunk pan are good.

This car will have to be hauled due to sitting up for a long time. It is located just minutes off of I-95 in Brunswick, Ga. about 60 miles North of Jacksonville, Fla. The reserve is very reasonable. I am selling this car for the owner. I would love to restore this car but I don't have room for my current projects. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Georgia is a "bill of sale" state for any car made before 1984.
