1955 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Catalina
Here is one hard to find vintage automobile. It has resided it's entire life in the Dry climate of New Mexico, right off old Route 66!
If you have ever wanted one, then you know.
This one is even more rare in that it has never had a repaint or interior changed.
It sports it's factory original Turquoise and Ivory paint along with the original LEATHER seats and orig door panels! This is not Ward Cleavers '55 Pontiac! It has a throaty exhaust and that wonderful vintage patina that everyone tries to replicate.
It's too cool to restore!
Yes it runs and drives, and quite well. The old underpowered 287 has been swapped out for a '69 model Pontiac 400 V8 coupled to a 400 Turbo-Hydromatic transmission!
This vintage Poncho has plenty of Power! The engine holds good oil pressure and runs right at the half mark on the temp gauge.
The exhaust system is new (duals with nice sounding glass-pacs). Lake pipes are cosmetic only.The tires are newish with good tread. And the car is alot of fun to drive.Click on the frames below to watch videos of this car!

The leather seat have padding hanging out here and there and the outside paint is true to the pics.
The body, stainless trim, bumpers etc. are verry straight with perfect floors, braces, trunk etc.
One hole on the driver rocker below the door and one very small hole on the passenger side fender. There is an ancient repair to the passenger side quarter that is very straight and undetectable except for paint that has aged a little different than the rest and some paint bubbles are evident there. Bumpers and stainless are very very nice and straight with good shine!
The dash is very nice with all orig components.
