This auction is for a fresh, professionally restored 1969 Firebird, PHS documented with low production numbers.

Drivetrain

The engine has been completely rebuilt. Block, heads and all other parts were tanked and blasted down to bare clean metal and thoroughly tanked again. Engine was assembled with Fel-Pro gaskets using proper lube and Pontiac torque specs. The only exception are the head gaskets which are Victor-Reinz gaskets that are specific for the Pontiac 350 motor, rather than the Fel-Pro generic 400-455 gasket which leave a giant gap in your combustion chamber.

The "WN" coded block was taken .030 over and fitted with new Badger cast pistons mated to the reconditioned factory rods with new rod bolts/nuts. Crank is factory "N" crank that was tanked and polished. Rear main seal is Viton seal, not rope. New freeze plugs, Clevite cam bearings, Crane factory blueprint 068 camshaft and lifters, Crane push rods. Double roller timing chain and new Melling oil pump.

the "48" coded heads were fitted with the factory pushrod guideplates and BB Chevy 7/16 rocker studs. Factory rockers were used, but an easy upgrade to rollers if warranted. No porting done on these heads, however they were planed for straightness.

Factory 4 BBL cast iron intake with 1970 date coded QJet 7040263, new fuel pump and fuel line.

4 Speed Muncie M-20. This transmission was completely rebuilt, new rear seal. Brand new Zoom performance clutch, factory flywheel was blasted and resurfaced. All new clutch fork, boot and transmission cover.
3.55 Safe-T-Track axle. Cannot locate codes on housing, but it does indicate from the casting number on the pumpkin that this is the heavy duty "N" axle. The ring gear is engraved 39/11 which indicates 3.55. Brake lines, wheel cylinders and hardware all replaced.
Crane points conversion kit installed. Brand new Powermaster vintage appearing alternator and a Vintage set of AC Delco plugs installed.

Gas tank, sending unit, fuel lines all replaced with brand new items.

BODY

The body and subframe have been compeletly redone at a professional shop. The paint is Factory color, Midnight Green Dupont base/clear and looks dynamite.

The subframe was removed, blasted all pits removed, POR 15'ed and painted using the correct paint GM black. New springs,ball joints, shocks, end-links, transmission mount.
Body was completely stripped to bare metal. Front driver floor patch, rear quarters patched with full panels. All welds ground clean. Floors, trunk and undercarriage coated with POR 15 and painted correct color. Windows were replaced using brand new window intall kits, new clips and front/rear windshield trim.

New core support, front valance, front an rear bumpers, rocker trim, wheel well trim, lamp housings.

All moldings, emblems and trim have been replaced with brand new or NOS items.

INTERIOR

All new ACC carpet and underlayment. All new front and rear door panels, headliner and side pillars. Chrome window regulators and handles replaced.

Metal part of dash was stripped to bare metal and repainted using correct factory color. Brand new GM replacement dash pad installed. A correct factory dash bezel insert with an uncut radio hole was located, cleaned and installed with a factory AM radio. All chrome dash knobs replaced.

Front and rear seasts Completely recovered using new install kits.

Headliner and sail panels replaced, dome light replaced, New package tray and seat divider.
