This 1970 GTO is a 455 H.O. (high output) convertible car. This car has just had a recent frame off restoration. We understand we've only got one picture here, which is why we've also included the PHS. This car has had a complete frame-off restoration, but we've sent it back to have the engine re-detailed as it was not saturated with texture. The engine bay paint gloss was 40/60, not 60/40 as it should be. As soon as the minor details are completed we will have pictures. This is a 1 of 1 H.O. convertible in the rare and desirable color combination of triple black (starlight black/black interior/black power top). The vinyl stripes on this car is a factory option. Car also has; - air conditioning - 455 HO - Safe-t-track - am/fm radio - Formula steering wheel - tilt wheel - turbo hydramatic - vinyl stripes - Rally II's - power disc brakes - G70 x 14 tires - power seat - Ride and handling package. This is a numbers matching, Freemont California car with a full frame off restoration. Absolutely stunning! This car is selling for $349,000 so at this Buy It Now, this is a deal! On Sep-03-08 at 09:18:34 PDT, seller added the following information:Wanted to clarify a few points; first of all, the statement in the text that says the engine was not "saturated with texture". That was explained improperly. What it was supposed to explain was that the 60/40 texture of the gloss in the engine bay was incorrect and was sent back to rectify this. Doing it right enteils disassembling the entire front end of the car, which is where we are at in the present moment, but soon to be completed. Secondly, the engine block is an SR block, which is the correct and proper code for Pontiac Motor Division warranty replacement block in 1970. The motor is correct. Lastly, I wanted to clarify that not only are the vinyl Judge stripes on this car a factory option, but they are also on the build sheet and this particular car WAS equipped with the factory vinyl Judge stripes from the factory and it IS on the build sheet. This was NOT added. They are originally ordered on this car! This is indeed rare so I just wanted to clarify this. Thanks. |
