1969 was the inaugural year for the GTO Judge. The Judge option was Pontiacs answer to the popularity of the Roadrunner. It was very groovy, baby, with Peter Max artwork inspired by the Rowan & Martin’s ”Laugh In” comedy show skit with the catch phrase “…here comes the Judge…”

The 1969 Judge option included a spoiler on the trunk and two heavy-duty torque rods to hold up the trunk lid. It came with 14x6 inch Rally II wheels without trim rings and tri-colored side body stripes. "The Judge" decals were put on the front of the front fenders, as well as on the top right hand side of the trunk spoiler. After production of the first 2,000 Judges a decal was placed on the glove box door. The standard Judge engine was the 400 Ram Air III motor with functional ram air hood. There were 6,725 Hardtops built in 1969.

This auction is for a PHS documented 4 spd GTO Judge in the Pontiac exclusive color of verdoro green. I was told years ago there were only108 verdoro green GTO Judges made in 1969 but can not find a verifiable source to confirm this exact number; either way it isa rare car. I bought this car a few years back and have done nothing but throw money at it and have done very little driving. I have too many cars and not enough time. This car is perfect for someone who wants a PHS documented 4 spd Judge that need finishing for a very fair price.

The motor in the car now is a YS 400 and has been rebuilt and runs great. New Carb, Dist. (points) Alternator, PS line (still leaks) wires, shroud and hoses.I do have the original Ram Air III block and heads block needing one sleeve. The ram air exhaust are on the car and all the ram air is intact and in working condition. I believe the transmission and rear end are original to the car. I have the hardware to rebuild theZ bar, which feels sloppy. The car runs and drive well but will soon need an exhaust system. The last picture with the aircleaner in place is before I detailed the engine bay and just to show the ram air cleaner assembly.

This paint is driver quality and could use to be rubbed with a polishing compound. An original CA car with no rust on body, frame, trunk, or floor boards. The chrome and trim are driver quality and all glass is in good condition.

The interior needs a headliner, seat covers, carpet and the door panels have a small hole cut for a tweeter. All interior parts are being reproduced and I already have the headliner, package tray and a good used dash, as the one in the car is cracked and was cut for a modern radio head. I also have newweatherstripping for the doors, window glass and trunk.

I know the history of this car back to 1980 and it is a 59K mile car,a lot of it a 1/4 miles at a time!

In the interest of saving your time and mine, allow me to say that I have not lost my job and I am not desperate...just thinning the herd...too many cars, not enough time...if the car sells fine, if not I will sell something else.This is probably the last time I am going to list it on ebay and I willconsign it to a major auction house if it does not sell. THERE IS NO RESERVE AND YOU CAN STEAL THIS CAR FOR THE OPENING BID!This was a 70K car a few years ago and will be again in a few years when you finish up the details.
