This is a beautiful 1955 Studebaker Commando that was restoredinto aSpeedster replica. I am listing this car as well as several other cars for the owner who is looking to down size his personal collection. The color combinationof this car are very unusualfor the era. The exterior is a greenish-gold and yellow two tone, and the interior is all yellow. I was told that these colors were available in 1955 but very few were bought this way. I think the car looks great and the owner said he gets a lot of compliments on the color. The Studebaker has a 259 V/8 with a 4 barrrel carburetor and a 3 speed transmission with over drive.Also, the car has power steering. The car was completely restored about 16 years ago and has been kept in a garage ever since.I did see a couplelittle chips in the paint and the radio doesnt seem to work. The speedometer is showing 74,000 mile but the owner is not sure if this isoriginal. I was told that in the state of PA any title to a car older than 1964 has "exempt" for mileage on the title.This Studebaker runs and drives excellent and the O/D works fine. I took pictures of 10 cars that I will be listing for the owner and this one was one of my personal favorites. The owner said If the car is sold it will be put on a lift and completely gone over to make sure everything is good to go and there are no problems with the car and it is safe to drive. Also, a 10 day transporter tag is available for $10.00 if you would like to drive it home. The car has a good PA title that is ready to go.
