Up for sale is a Avanti R-2 that has been in our family for over 23 years.The car has always been kept inside.The car has enjoyed a amateur restoration during its time with us.All receipts have been retained for you. My Father Inlaw was the prior owner. We have hadthe Avantifor several years and wona fewcar shows with it.We have lost interest in it and it gets very little use.The wife wants a new kitchen so its time for the Avanti to move forward to a new owner.Serial # 3373 was the 2373 ever built.It was the 391 of 2562 units produced in Feb of 1963 and the 391 one completed in that year. Of 3807 1963 models made this was the 2373 with 1334 of that model year to follow.I still have the orignal window sticker and factory build sheet.See pictures.Also a signed copy of the book Avanti by Thomas E Bonsall.(The book has water damage).I also have the parts manual,wiring diagram,and repair manual (which is quite worn).The car comes with a Calfornia cover and battery tender.

Exterior:The paint was done twenty years ago and its showing its age.The car does shine up nicely and still turns heads and wins car shows.The chrome bumpers gleam.The old school Crager rims have some rust spots but theyshine up nicely.The tires show no dry rot and have 95%of there tread left.Included are the orignal 5 rims with the4 orignal hub caps which are all in good shape.

Interior:The seats,door panels,head panels and rugs are in exceptional shape.They were redone in 1989 at the cost of $5,000 They are factory correct and sport the lovely orange color. The rugs being speckled black and red. New seat belts in black. The trunk has new carpet in it. The speedometer doesnt work. The tachometer and all the other gauges do. The wipers dont work. The radio was changed to a cd player that doesnt work. The original radio is included but doesnt work,but lights up

Engine&Mechanical: Equipped on the engine now is a R3 box and intake manifold. The original manifold, R2 carburetor and chrome air bonnet are included. The carburetor on the car could use to be rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt 20 years ago. It starts easily and idles smoothly. There is no smoke from the tailpipe. A fuel pump wasreplaced in 2007. The ignition,distrurbutor was changed to a electronic high performance distributor using chrysler electronics. The original dual point distributor was rebuilt and works. It's included as well. It has newer wires, cap, coil, and plugs. No oil leaks from the engine. The power steering works great, but the pump leaksand a rebuild kit is included.The front end is tight. New shocks all around. The transmission shifts correctly but does leak fluid. All external lights work, even the high beams. Brakes are good all around. All the brake lines have been changed. Master cylinder was changed 1 year ago. The frame has no rot, the hog troughs are solid. The car is clean and solidunderneath. The super charger works great and the oil in it is clean. All chrome under the hood looks bright and will shine up nicely. Coolant system has no issue.
